National Ice Cream Day St. Louis
To celebrate National Ice Cream Day in St. Louis on Sunday, July 21st, you have a many sweet options. Local ice creameries are offering a variety of fun-filled events. In 1904, the St. Louis World’s Fair became the birthplace of the beloved ice cream cone. When a vendor ran out of dishes, a neighboring waffle seller rolled his waffles into cones, creating an iconic dessert that has delighted generations ever since. To celebrate National Ice Cream Day and in collaboration with Missouri History Museum, Clementine’s has created four new flavors that celebrate foods from the 1904 World’s Fair. On Sunday the first 50 guests in line at each location receives free t-shirt and the first person in line at each store gets a commemorative poster. All flavors are now available for national shipping and will be available in scoops and pints at all Clementine’s locations on July 21st.
- Vegan Waffle Cone-A-Copia – Salted caramel ice cream with chocolate coated waffle pieces
- Fairy Floss – Cotton Candy flavored ice cream with pop rocks
- Banana Split – Banana, Cherry, Chocolate – 3 flavors in one, hand-piped into the pints!
- Meet Me in St. Louis, Louis – captures the sweetness of freshly harvested corn and features clusters of buttered corn flakes

Sunday, July 21st, also happens to be Serendipity Ice Cream’s 21st anniversary! Starting at Noon, they’ll be scooping up your favorite ice creams, serving novelties, creating Dipity Doughs, and mixing up shakes, malts, and Spirited Shakes (from their Spirited Shakes menu). The day long extravaganza includes: specials, a balloon twister, an enamel pin giveaway (1 pin per person with purchase), a koozie giveaway (with any pint purchase), a DJ, and more.
