Hayrides offer a fantastic fall experience. Several parks, farms, and pumpkin patches throughout the St. Louis region are offering a variety of hayride experiences. Check one out.

St. Louis Hayrides

Urban Hayrides in Forest Park

Forest Park offers Urban Hayrides on select Friday and Saturday nights in the fall. Reservations are required per wagon, and visitors can roast their items at a bonfire afterward.

St. Louis County Hayrides

Queeny Park

Queeny Park offers a 45-minute fall hayride at $180 per wagon, including a private bonfire for an hour. Each wagon accommodates up to 20 guests. Reserve at 314-615-8472.

Bluebird Park

Bluebird Park offers fall hayrides and s’mores around a campfire on Sept. 28, Oct. 5, Oct. 19, and Oct. 26. Registration is required, and it costs $10 per person ($8 for residents). Visit the City of Ellisville website for details.

Des Peres Park

Des Peres Park provides a 30-minute hayride and bonfire experience on Oct. 7, Oct. 13-14, Oct. 20-21, and Oct. 27-28. Groups of up to 30 can participate for $185. Reservations are required.

Brookdale Farms

Brookdale Farms includes tractor-drawn hayrides with fall admission. Enjoy additional activities like a corn maze, petting zoo, cow train, pony rides, a pumpkin patch, and inflatables. Group hayride packages with a private campfire are available. Fall activities run Wednesdays through Saturdays from Sept. 8.

St. Louis County Parks

Faust Park

Faust Park offers nighttime hayrides on Oct. 6-7. Warm up by a campfire with live music after the ride. Tickets are $10 and must be purchased in advance. Register at 314-615-8328 or online through the Saint Louis County Parks system.

Jefferson Barracks Park

Jefferson Barracks Park hosts hayrides on Oct. 13, featuring fall scenery, music, s’mores, and a bonfire. The cost is $10 per person, with hayrides at 6:30, 7:30, and 8:30 p.m. Reservations are required, available online or by calling 314-615-8877.

Evening hayride and music at Lone Elk Park

Lone Elk Park offers a ride through on Oct. 20-21 with music and wildlife viewing. Tickets cost $10 and must be purchased in advance. Register at 314-615-8822 or online through the Saint Louis County Parks system.

Pumpkin Patch
Along with hayrides, many area pumpkin patches offer corn mazes, games, kettle corn, farm animals, and other fall-themed family activities.

St. Charles County

Fort Zumwalt Park in O’Fallon

In O’Fallon, Fort Zumwalt Park offers tractor-pulled hayrides and bonfires Thursdays through Sundays, Oct. 12-29. Reservations must be made at least two weeks in advance. The cost is $175 for a group of 20 or $225 for a group of 40.

Fountain Lakes Park in St. Charles

Fountain Lakes Park in St. Charles provides group hayride experiences for $300. Hayrides are available on Friday and Saturday evenings from Oct. 6-28. Advance reservations are required, and details can be found on the St. Charles Parks and Recreation online reservation system.

Broemmelsiek Park near Wentzville

Broemmelsiek Park near Wentzville allows groups of up to 20 to reserve a 45-minute hayride for $125, including a campfire. Available by reservation on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from Sept. 29 to Oct. 29. Call 636-949-7535 for reservations.

Illinois Hayrides

Eckert’s Millstadt Farm

Eckert’s Farms in Millstadt will host Haunted Hayrides on select fall weekends. Ghouls and goblins will make their presence known as wagons wind through the orchards after dark.

Howlin’ Hayride and Movie Night at Laderman Park in Belleville, IL

Laderman Park in Belleville, IL, offers the Howlin’ Hayride and Moonlight Movie on Oct. 13. The ride passes through Walnut Hill Cemetery and returns for an outdoor showing of “Scooby Doo, The Movie,” along with a bonfire, s’mores, and a costume contest. Registration is $10 and due by Oct. 9. Adults must accompany guests ages 15 and under.
