Tower Grove Heights – Something for Everyone
In a recent article for the Tower Grove Heights Neighborhood Association newsletter, kids living on Juniata and Connecticut were asked what they liked about living in their neighborhood. The answers are honest, frank, funny and provide a true endorsement of how rich city living can be for children.
Tower Grove Heights (TGH) provides a rich experience for adults too! It is a highly desirable area with historic homes that are full of character. Restaurants, shopping, parks, and and other amenities are easy to walk to. It has an active neighborhood association. In short, it has all the elements of a great community. That is why homes sell so quickly in Tower Grove Heights. In March we listed two large homes in this neighborhood and both received multiple offers and went under contract the same weekend they hit the market. Let’s look at them a little more closely.
Sense of Community
3639 Juniata is a 5 bedroom home that listed for $345,000. The owners had lived there for 40 years and raised three sons in the house. They are moving to live closer to their grandchildren. In their letter to the future owners they spoke about the sense of community they felt in Tower Grove Heights.
“While the neighbors have changed over all the years we have lived here, the sense of community has just grown stronger. We have always had wonderful neighbors, many of which we count as close friends. We and our neighbors have always welcomed new-comers as you will find when you move in. Over the years we have dined out in large groups, had block parties and monthly game nights to chat and have fun.”
Amenities & Convenience
3877 Hartford is a 4 bedroom home that listed for $269,900. This young family appreciated the proximity to amenities they had in Tower Grove Heights.
“One of the big draws of the neighborhood was that we could walk to so many places. Weekly walks to the library became a routine, as were regular trips to Hartford Coffee Co. (one block away), which has a play area for kids and a quiet zone in the back for working. We attended wine tastings at Gustine Market around the corner, and also frequented many of the local restaurants on South Grand (King and I Thai and Pho Grand – two of our favorites!).”
