Four St. Louis Restaurant Openings on Our Radar
These St. Louis restaurant openings give us four good reasons to explore a neighborhood. From fresh bread in McKinley Heights to a new place to watch women’s sports in Maplewood, here’s what we’re keeping an eye on this fall and beyond.
Union Loafers Bakehouse and Cafe | McKinley Heights
Union Loafers is expanding to 1854 Russell Boulevard, with a new bakery production space and cafe expected to open around early October. The new space will allow the bakery to triple production. We’re already picturing a loaf of bread tucked under one arm for the trip home.
Damn Fine Anytime | The Grove
The team behind Damn Fine Hand Pies is planning a second location at 1072 Tower Grove Avenue. Called Damn Fine Anytime, it’s expected to bring its hand pies, coffee and croissants to the morning crowd, with pizza and sandwiches planned for evenings. Dwell | Glendale
Coffee for the grown-ups, ice cream for everyone, and room for kids to play: Dwell sounds like a welcome addition to Glendale. The family-friendly shop has been in the planning stages for over a year for 415 N. Sappington Road and will include both indoor and outdoor play areas.
The Sports Bra | Maplewood
The former Boogaloo space at 7344 Manchester Road is set to become The Sports Bra, a bar dedicated to showing women’s sports. We’re looking forward to seeing Maplewood’s next chapter for this familiar corner. Originally scheduled for earlier in 2026, permitting setbacks have delayed the opening. However, just last week exterior signage went up and owners shared that on social media that launch date is near.
