From the spirited Legends & Lanterns in historic Saint Charles to the beloved Shaw Art Fair and the eco-conscious St. Louis Veg Fest in Forest Park, the region bursts with opportunities to enjoy art, food, history, and community. September Festivals
September 5-7
St. Louis Art Fair (Sep 5-7): Join art enthusiasts at the St. Louis Art Fair, a nationally recognized event showcasing over 180 artists, interactive art installations, live music, and delicious food in downtown Clayton.
Art Outside (Sep 5-7): Visit Schlafly Bottleworks in Maplewood for the Art Outside festival, featuring local artists, live music, and craft beer. It’s a great opportunity to discover and support local talent.
Confluence Music Festival (Sep 5-7): Approximately 30 local, regional, and national acts will be showcased at World Wide Technology Raceway during the Enjoy Illinois 300, a NASCAR Cup weekkend.

Greentree Festival (Sep 12-14): Enjoy the Greentree Festival at Kirkwood Park, a family-friendly event with arts and crafts, food vendors, live entertainment, and a parade.
Music at the Intersection (Sep 12-14): Grand Center Arts District is the spot for this civic-led effort that encompasses multiple acts set up in streets and green spaces throughout the neighborhood. National acts Patti Labelle, De La Soul, and Branford Marsalis appear along with over 100 performances and presentations across 15 stages and venues.

Autumn Outdoor Fest (Sep 20): Downtown Kirkwood kicks off fall with its annual sidewalk sale featuring fall fashion, décor, and end-of-summer clearance items. The Pumpkin Patch at Kirkwood Farmers’ Market will hosts its Grand Opening, with delicious treats, fall decorations and plenty of pumpkins. Activities are also available for children in the Fall Fun Zone.
Great Forest Park Balloon Race (Sep 19-20): Witness a spectacular sight as hot air balloons take to the skies at the Great Forest Park Balloon Race, complete with a “Balloon Glow” event on the evening before the race.

Hispanic Festival (Sep 19-21): Celebrate Hispanic culture at the Hispanic Festival at Soulard Market with live music, dance performances, authentic cuisine, and craft vendors.
Old Webster Jazz & Blues Festival (Sep 20): Groove to jazz and blues at the Old Webster Jazz & Blues Festival, held at Allen & N. Gore in Webster Groves, featuring local and national musicians.
South Grand Fall & Music Fest (Sep 20): Enjoy live music, art, and local food vendors at the South Grand Fall & Music Fest at Ritz Park, a celebration of the vibrant South Grand community.
Frizz Fest (Sep 20): Celebrating its 8th year as a vibrant, free, family-friendly Natural Beauty Festival where beauty, Black culture, entrepreneurship, and creativity shine. Expect live entertainment, artisan vendors, food and farmers markets, art installations, hair showcases, a youth activity zone, and community resources—all designed to uplift, inspire self-love, and empower.

Macklind Days (Sep 27): A community street festival on Macklind Avenue, from Devonshire to Nottingham, featuring local vendors, live music, food, and family-friendly activities.
Clayton Jazz Festival (Sep 27): The Clayton Jazz Festival returns filling downtown Clayton with free live jazz, great food, and drinks from 5–10 p.m. Bring a chair and enjoy an evening of music and community under the stars.
Evolution Festival (Sep 27-28): Offering a genre‑blending music experience paired with top local food, drinks, and vendors in one of the city’s most vibrant settings—Forest Park. This year’s festival brings big‑name acts like Lenny Kravitz and Sublime, along with enhanced VIP experiences, accessibility features, and community‑focused amenities.
Tower Grove Pride (Sep 27-28): This vibrant, independent Pride celebration is filled with over 300 local vendors, live performances, art, drag shows, a street-style parade, and family-friendly fun from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Rooted in grassroots spirit, this LGBTQ+‑centered festival celebrates visibility, solidarity, creativity, and community empowerment.
Art in the Park (Sep 28): Discover unique artworks and enjoy live performances at Art in the Park, held in the beautiful Francis Park, perfect for a day of art and relaxation.
October Festivals

Fall Fest at Grant’s Farm (Saturdays & Sundays throughout October) : Celebrate autumn with Fall Fest at Grant’s Farm, featuring pumpkin decorating, festive food, live music, and a nighttime beer garden experience. The farm transforms with seasonal decor, providing a perfect family-friendly fall outing.
Ecktoberfest (Saturdays & Sundays throughout October): Dive into a day of pumpkin picking, cuddle with adorable animals, indulge in mouthwatering fall treats, and stop by the Cider Shed to enjoy free live music and the best eats and drinks around. Eckert’s Farms is the ultimate celebration of all things fall.
Legends & Lanterns (Oct 11-12, 18-19, 24-26): Step back in time for a spirited celebration along Main Street in Saint Charles, where “Legends & Lanterns” brings to life spooky stories, iconic Halloween characters, and historical figures through interactive street theater.

Best of Missouri Market (Oct 3-5): Discover the finest in local crafts, foods, and plants at the Best of Missouri Market, held at the Missouri Botanical Garden. Over 130 vendors showcase Missouri-made products, accompanied by live music and a children’s corner.
Shaw Art Fair (Oct 4-5): Head to the historic Shaw neighborhood to enjoy the Shaw Art Fair, which features 100+ juried artists from across the country, live music, and delicious food. Held on the scenic Flora Place, it’s an ideal way to enjoy art in a neighborhood setting.
Grove Fest (October 4): Experience one of St. Louis’s most unique street festivals at Grove Fest on Manchester Avenue in The Grove. The event features street performers, local artists, food trucks, and live music that celebrates the eclectic spirit of the community.
Veg Fest (Oct 5): Celebrate a plant-based lifestyle at Veg Fest, held at the Forest Park World’s Fair Pavilion. The event features vegan food vendors, cooking demonstrations, speakers, and activities promoting a healthy, sustainable lifestyle.

Italian Heritage Parade & Festival (Oct 12): Celebrate Italian culture at the Italian Heritage Parade & Festival in Berra Park on The Hill. The event includes a parade, live music, authentic Italian cuisine, bocce ball, and other family-friendly activities.
Harvest Festival (Oct 12): Enjoy a day filled with food, music, and local vendors at the Harvest Festival in Tower Grove Park. This event, organized by the Tower Grove Farmers’ Market, celebrates the bounty of fall with local produce, handmade crafts, and live performances.

Apple Butter Festival (Oct 25-26): One of the largest fall festivals in the Midwest, the Apple Butter Festival draws crowds with its charming small-town streets filled with artisan vendors, crafts, and live entertainment. Visitors can watch apple butter being made in copper kettles over an open fire, then sample and take home this seasonal favorite along with plenty of festive treats.
November Festivals
Laumeier After Dark (Nov 8): On one night only, Laumeier allows the public to explore the park after dark. Temporary light installations from local artists, a night market, live music, and food & beverage.
Flyover Comedy Festival (Nov 13-16): More than 150 comedians invade St. Louis over four days. From stand-up to improv and more you can find national headliners, regional standouts and local favoraties.
