KRISTIN

“We celebrated traditional Thanksgiving with our families last weekend. On Thursday we celebrate Italian-style with a Friendsgiving feast. We make a huge lasagna and I have a friend that brings tiramisu.  I like to make biscotti. It is a tradition this time of year for us.”

“This year we are hosting Thanksgiving. Truthfully, my favorite part of Thanksgiving are the leftovers. Turkey sandwiches with cranberry spread! No recipe, but if I were to get fancy, I’d toast the bread, add some Gruyere and a side of my mother-in-law’s stuffing.”

“My favorite Thanksgiving dish, and one of the only I know how to make, is my mean green bean casserole. However, this year we are making Kristine’s famous macaroni and cheese.”

“We are having a tiny Thanksgiving at home and will put up the Christmas tree. Then on Friday we head to my parent’s where I help prepare for Saturday’s Thanksgiving feast with extended family. I come from a long line of pie bakers and aficionados, so this is the time of year I experiment with new recipes. I think I’m making Chocolate Chess Pie and a Brown Sugar Pumpkin Pie with Honey Meringue.”
