Clayton, the county seat of St. Louis County, is located west of Forest Park and north of Highway 64. Upscale condominiums and contemporary office buildings frame the central business district, which is home to many Fortune 500 companies. Washington University, Fontbonne College, and Concordia Seminary are also in Clayton.  A wealth of shopping opportunities exist at galleries, specialty boutiques, wine shops, jewelers, and antique stores and the city is home to many notable restaurants. For business travelers and vacationers, Clayton offers outstanding accommodations and is only 15 minutes from Lambert-St. Louis International Airport, and just 10 minutes from downtown St. Louis.

Our Picks: Dinner and drinks at Bar Les Freres (7637 Wydown) or Sardella (7734 Forsyth). Brunch or lunch at Half & Half (8135 Maryland Plaza). And we love that Clayton is the home to so much public art and is home to The St. Louis Artists Guild.
