Meet Dawn Griffin

Dawn started her real estate career in St. Louis in 2004, right after deciding that teaching high school Latin wasn't the path for her. A few years in, the Great Recession hit. She kept building anyway, spending a decade representing buyers and sellers on her own before she and her husband launched Griffin David Properties, a renovation company that's remodeled, sold, and rented properties throughout St. Louis City and County ever since.

Her own first home was in Shaw. Since then she's moved seven times, raised two kids, and has now settled in Kirkwood, where she still lives today, so she's made most of the same decisions her clients are making, not just advised on them. She's lived in municipalities across both the city and the county, in historic homes and ones she built new, moved with small children while selling at the same time — so there's not much a client is weighing that she hasn't weighed herself.

Those experiences shaped the team she's built: from a single agent to seven people who've helped over 1,000 clients close more than $220 million in sales, and been voted Best Real Estate Agent in St. Louis three years running, 2024, 2025, and 2026.

"I really cannot imagine doing anything else. The people I meet and all that entails in helping them get from Point A to Point B – real estate is just where my heart is. I love St. Louis. The architecture, the neighborhoods, the people. I’m really proud of the team we’ve cultivated and our dedication to our clients and our community."

Dawn holds an undergraduate degree in Education and a Master's in Urban Planning and Real Estate Development, and it shows in how she works: she teaches clients the market rather than just narrating it, then negotiates from an actual understanding of it rather than a script. Twenty-two years in, she's still the kind of agent clients call for their next move, and refer their friends to for their first one. Real estate, it turns out, really is where she's most at home.
