Washington University in St. Louis recently announced plans to significantly lower the overall number of students living in campus housing for the upcoming fall semester. The reduction in population density would help efforts to combat the spread of COVID-19. Upperclassman have been requested to find off-campus housing. This effects about 1,600 juniors and seniors who wanted university housing this fall.
This news has left many families and students scrambling. An agent in our brokerage received over 200 texts inquiring about rentals she had in the campus vicinity.
While we do not have any rental units, we do have two condos currently on the market for sale that could be housing option for your student and offer longer term investment opportunity.
