Making your 4th of July plans? We’ve got a quick guide to some of the area’s fireworks displays and festivals coming up. Enjoy celebrating!


July 3-7, 2018
After several years at Forest Park, this year Fair St. Louis returns to its riverfront home. Festivities kick off Tuesday, July 3rd with the much anticipated grand opening ceremony of the Gateway Arch National Park. Ribbon cutting happens at the new West Entrance to the Museum and Visitor Center at the Gateway Arch. Afterwards there will be a free, outdoor community celebration for all ages in the North Gateway, near the Eads Bridge. The Normandy High School Marching Band will lead a public procession from the new West Entrance to the North Gateway for the family-friendly party that will include live music, food trucks, scavenger hunt, photobooth, face painters, oversized lawn games, and more.

Wednesday morning is the 136th Annual VP Parade in downtown St. Louis along Market Street, which is the launch into four more days of fair fun, food, and entertainment from both local and national acts. Daily schedules below:

July 1-4, 2018
A four day celebration featuring a carnival, BBQ, parade and fireworks, Webster Groves Community Days is old-school fun . The festival’s held at Memorial Park, just south of Interstate 44 off the Elm Avenue exit. Below is the schedule, at a glance.

  • Carnival, Midway Booths, and BBQ: July 1 (2- 11 p.m.), July 2 (5-11 p.m.), July 3 (5-11 p.m.), and July 4 (11 a.m. – 11 p.m.)
  • Unlimited Ride Wristband Night: July 2 and July 3
  • Parade: July 4 (10 a.m.)
  • Fireworks: July 3 (9:30 p.m. contingent on sponsorships) and July 4 (9:30 p.m)


July 4, 2018
The annual Kirkwood Fireworks Festival will be held on Wednesday, July 4, in Kirkwood Park.  Music by Fanfare kicks off the evening at 7:00 p.m. Fireworks go off at dusk.


July 4, 2018
Chesterfield’s Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration  is one of the biggest and best fireworks displays in the metro area. The show begins July 4 at 6:30 p.m. at Chesterfield Mall and will feature live music from Fat Pocket, a high-energy party band, dancing, circus performance, carnival games, inflatable bounce castles, putt-putt golf, a kids’ obstacle course, and, of course, fireworks beginning promptly at 9:30 p.m.


July 3, 2018
Jefferson Barracks Annual JB Blast
takes place Tuesday, July 3rd. Enjoy music by ““The South Side Johnny Band” under the stars in the Veterans Memorial Amphitheater and a brilliant fireworks display to usher in another fun, filled celebration in honor of our country’s birth. This year, the Blast will feature a concert from 7 to 9 p.m., with fireworks to follow. Admission and parking are free and there will be plenty of food available for purchase, including a variety of food trucks. Blankets, picnic baskets and coolers are welcome.
