I lived in Clifton Heights for over 5 years. After looking at several homes in Clifton Heights, my fiancé and I bought a rehabbed brick bungalow on Magnolia and we loved the neighborhood, located between Highway 44, Fyler, and Hampton. In the center of the neighborhood is Clifton Heights Park, a 4.4 acre park that was originally meant for private use but was dedicated to the city in 1912. The park has a small playground and is encompassed by Simpson Avenue, which is lined with many larger homes overlooking the lake. We would take a five minute walk there almost every day.
Clifton Heights provides easy access to 44 so getting downtown or to any neighborhoods off 44 is a breeze. We could be at the Botanical Garden or Tower Grove in less than ten minutes. If we hit Hampton we could be at the zoo in less than 10 minutes. Getting to Maplewood was a breeze down Southwest. We could be at Southwest Diner or Schlafly Bottleworks in less than 5 minutes. The cozy little Machecek Library was less than a 15 minute walk. It was just a convenient, cute neighborhood.
It is a desirable neighborhood, one close to my heart! There is not a lot of inventory in Clifton Heights right now, but we do have a sweet listing. Below we highlight some homes currently available in Clifton Heights.
