I had trouble naming this blog post. I really wanted to call it “Great Neighbors in Tower Grove East.” Reading the Tower Grove East Neighborhood list serve, I ran across this thread in which one neighbor posted a request for a recommendation of an HVAC contractor and within a VERY short period of time got SEVEN responses. So if you are looking for an HVAC contractor, look no further. There are 7 recommendations from happy customers below.
1.) My daughter and I have used Jim Reynolds for both maintenance and installation of heating and air conditioning systems. We have found him to be very capable, honest, and reasonably priced. I would recommend him to anyone for HVAC work. His cell phone is 401-7425.
2.) We’ve been using Ricotta Heating and Cooling and are quite happy with them. They
have been reliable, fair and reasonable in costs. Visit www.ricottaheatingandair.com.
Our contact has been Alan Ricotta. If you use him please tell him we spoke highly of him so he gets another data-point as to our appreciation.
3.) I don’t know how”local” you mean, but we’ve used C&G Heating & Cooling
(now at 7805 Manchester) since we lived in the county sixteen years ago. Carol & Gus (C&G)
retired a few years ago and sold their business to another local family. We continue to use them for semi-annual checks on our systems, and we signed upfor their Comfort Club. Last year they fixed a particularly pesky leak we had from condensation on a third-floor A/C unit. They are not cheap, but they’ve continued to be thorough and reliable. If you call them, please tell them we recommended them.

4.) Call Dave cell no. 448-9030. He just put in a new furnace & central A/C for me for the
1st floor apt. He also went out to Mo’s mom’s house in Ballwin and re-charged
her system on Sunday for $85. Great guy. Tell him you live across the street from me.
5.) We like Seliga Heating and Cooling out on Gravois – I think they’re in the
City. Prompt and reasonable, I think.
6.) Hoffmann Bros is on Tower Grove Ave. We’ve used them for years.
7.) Give Rich a call. He’s in Shaw and does this on the side. He’s worked on lots of my properties and we’ve generally been pleased with his work. 314.398.1762.
OR, if you are just looking for a great neighborhood to be a part of, check out Tower Grove East. As it’s name suggests the neighborhood borders the east side of Tower Grove Park.
3003 Minnesota is 3 bedroom, 2 bath home in Tower Grove East. Priced at $122,500 it is perfect for a first-time home buyer. It was a total gut renovation about five years ago, so it’s move in ready and should prove to be a hassle free home. There’s a two-car parking pad in the rear, but the sellers are willing to build a garage prior to closing (cost to be negotiated in contract)
